2009 NEWs

The Legends Christmas Pool Classic took place on Bank Holiday Monday 28th December 2009.  There was a total of 31 entries and the format was best of 11, with a plate competition of Best of 5 for 1st Round Losers.  The semi-finalsits were Gavin Rogers v Andy Barber and Keith Brewer v Jon Burrard, Gavin came through a 6-2 winner and Keith a 6-1 winner.  In the final Keith went 3-0 up with some excellent finishing.  Gavin came back strong to level at 3-3 and then Keith came out with another 3 amazing finishes to win 6-3 and claim the £150 First Prize with Gavin collecting £100 and both semi-finalists receiving £30 each.  The plate final was contested between Luke Perry and Mat Read, with Mat coming out a 3-1 winner.

2008 NEWs

The Dave Shead Pool Singles Pool Tournament comes to Legends.  This event takes place on Saturday 28th June 2008, Club opens at 11.30am, Comp Starts at 12 Noon.   Entry Fee is £7.00. This event is being organised by Cliff Churchward and All Profits go to The Lychett Red Triangle Youth Football Club.

Alderholt Superleague Mens Darts Team win the Superleague for a third time.  Since playing at Legends they have won the title 3 times in 4 years.

2006 & 2007 News

Legends are proud to be sponsors for Dorset County Pool and we are pleased to announce we have been chosen to be the host venue for 2006 and 2007!!

Dorset Ladies win the Region and go to the National Finals held in March 2008 at Great Yarmouth.

Since being at Legends The Dorset Ladies have one the Region twice in the last 3 years, which is an amazing achievement considering they had never won the Region since county began back in the 80's.

March 2006 News

The Dorset County Youth Pool Team are National Champions for 2005 for the first time since the competition began back in 1994.

Also the Dorset Ladies team qualify for the National Finals for the first time, however they get knocked out by the defending champions Surrey in the Round Robin Stages .

Charity Skittles Night

Legends held a charity skittles night at the club on July 1st in aid of Cancer Research UK. Six teams turned out, The Alley Cats came all the way from Trowbridge in Wiltshire to take on Ringwood's hot shots. Legends Darts headed by local Sid Hayes took top spot proving that throwing a skittle ball isn't that different from throwing a dart. Lorraine Cracknell from Cancer Research presented trophies to the winners. In total £300 was raised and a return match will be arranged by The Alley Cats in the near future.
